Fair Trade Coffee Campaign Goals
September 2009 – September 2010
Mission Statement: The mission of the Fair Trade Coffee Campaign is to educate, enroll, empower, and encourage coffee consumers so they will choose to purchase products that adhere to the principals of fair trade whenever possible.
Goal One: Increase the number of FTCC Campaign Supporters by 6000 before September 30, 2010 beginning with 600 supporters enrolled during Fair Trade Month October 2009.
Goal Two: Increase the number of Campaign Partners by 25 before September 30, 2010 beginning with 4 enrolled during Fair Trade Month October 2009.
Goal Three: Organize and conduct four Fair Trade Trips to producer countries designed to educate consumers and improve relationships between consumers and producers.
Goal Four: Improve coordination and collaboration with other Fair Trade advocacy organizations such as Fair Trade City initiatives, Fair Trade Campus Programs, and the Fair Trade Federation.
Goal Five: Pay growers providing beans for the FTCC a 5 % premium over and above the current fair trade official price.
Goal Six: Publish monthly newsletter that keeps Campaign Supporters informed about campaign progress and other Fair Trade news.
